Wiring a Main Panel

Electrical Question: Just noticed the line from the utility pole is rubbing against the side of the house. This happens a few feet from the service drop.

Repair Damaged Wire Main Panel

Tim asks:
Just noticed the line from the utility pole is rubbing against the side of the house.
This happens a few feet from the service drop.
It is not drooping but just seems that it was not ideally arranged (put in decades ago).
I dont see any wear on the line, but when the wind blows it does rub against the fascia and id like to fix it.
I was thinking about surrounding the wire with a short (few inches) of thin foam to act as a buffer.
This would solve the rubbing problem.
Would this cause local heating of the wire though, making it more dangerous?

Thx!

    Wiring a Dimmer Switch

Electrical Question: I have a problem with led lights installed in the bathroom. Originally it was working properly but the wall plate was sticking out of the wall quite a bit because of wrong screws used.

    Repair Damaged Wire Dimmer Switch

    Olena asks:

I have a problem with LED lights installed in the bathroom.
Originally it was working properly but the wall plate was sticking out of the wall quite a bit because of wrong screws used.
I found different screws one fit perfectly and the second one was twice the length of the first one.
When long screw was almost all the way in it screwed through one of the wires in the wall box causing a short circuit(I?m just guessing here) and LED lights this switch used for went off.
I thought led transformer blew off, so I replaced it still doesn?t work, replaced led strip itself no result, finally I replaced switch and lights still won?t work( outlet in that bathroom have been working with no issues all this time) I?m running out of ideas on where the problem can be.

    Kurt asks:
I?m correcting service entry power on a recreational property I purchased.
It had a meter base, with 2 0 (4) connector running from meter base (on outside wall) to main 200 amp load panel 40ft inside house.
Pwr company said I need a disconnect next to meter, and upgrade to a 4 0 4 0 4 0 2 0 cable from disconnect to main panel.
I got an Eaton Model #ECCVH200R disconnect.
Not sure how I bond the 4 0 neutral with the 2 0 ground from main panel, with the 2 0 neutral from meter, and the #6 from ground rod.
I must be missing some sort of bonding lugs to accommodate this size wiring
