State of Alaska Contractors License Board
Alaska Electrical Contractors are licensed and regulated for the protection of consumers against deficient electrical installations. The Alaska Electrical Contractors Board issues licenses to certify electrical contractors and journeyman electricians to work within the State of Alaska.

NECĀ® Adoption: 2014
The 2014 NEC has been adopted unamended by the State of Alaska, effective on March 6, 2016. Alaska is currently uses the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code and the 2009 editions of the other I-Codes. There is no definite timeline when the newer codes will be adopted.
