Connecticut State Contracting Standards Board
Connecticut Electrical Contractors are licensed and regulated for the protection of consumers against deficient electrical installations. The Connecticut Electrical Contractors Board issues licenses to certify electrical contractors and journeyman electricians to work within the State.

Connecticut Building Codes
The Office of the State Building Inspector establishes and administers building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and energy code requirements necessary to promote the health and safety of the people of Connecticut by reviewing, developing, adopting and administering the State Building Code.

NECĀ® National Electrical Code Adoption: 2014
Effective October 1, 2016. Codes and Standards committee voted to accept recommendations to accept 2016 State Building Codes, which will be based on 2012 I-Codes and the 2014 NEC.Please Note: Due to the nature of the electrical code adoption process, we cannot guarantee complete accuracy of this information. Connecticut Energy Codes
The Connecticut Energy Code is adopted and required by the # Energy Office. This code sets minimum energy efficient buildings.
