- The typical electrical wiring for a 120 volt outlet is the following:
- The Black Power Wire attaches to the Brass (or Gold) Side Screw terminal
- The White Neutral Wire attaches to the Silver Side Screw terminal
- The Bare or Green Ground wire attaches to the Green Screw terminal, typically found at the bottom of the outlet.
