I’m installing a ceiling fan with a remote control for fan and light, my old fan was controlled by a wall switch, how do I wire the remote receiver?

Question: I’m installing a ceiling fan with a remote control for fan and light. My old fan was controlled by a wall switch and the light was controlled by two switches.
I have a red, black and white wire from my supply circuit how do I wire the remote receiver? Nothing works at this time.
