Identifying a Possible Defective Ceiling Fan
[ad#block] Ceiling Fan Question: I just installed my ceiling fan but it does not rotate yet there is power to the device since the lights work and I can actually feel and hear the motor running in the casing. Is it possible that a disconnected wire is not allowing the fans to rotate?

How to Avoid Buying a Defective Ceiling Fan
Every once and a while I unknowingly install a defective ceiling fan, This does not happen very often but when it does it is very frustrating because of all the steps it takes to assemble and hang a ceiling fan. The best way to avoid purchasing a defective or bad ceiling fan is to never purchase a ceiling fan if the box has been opened, especially if there are signs that the contents have been opened or removed. Some defective ceiling fans can be returned to the store and placed right back onto the shelf without anyone knowing that the ceiling fan has a problem.
IMPORTANT: If you return a defective ceiling fan make sure to tell the clerk, and mark “DEFECTIVE” on the box!
