To avoid signal disturbances on voice or cables it is necessary to use a few precautions.
- Spacing Telephone Wire Away from Electrical Cables
When installing non-shielded telephone wire near electrical cables such as Romex, there should be at least a 12 inch space between the cables when they are running parallel to each other.
- Telephone Cables
It it best to install cables in the neighboring stud bay when possible. If these two types of cables cross each other it should not produce line interference.
