Ceiling Fan Electrical Wiring Methods

[ad#block]Question: I installed a ceiling fan in my ceiling and have ran 12 two wire to it. I have a convenient receptacle box in the attic. 110. Can I put a plug on the end of the 12 2 wire and simply plug in or do I I have to wire directly to box with receptacles.
