Electric Stove Wiring Configurations
Background: Reo, a Handyman from Ottawa Canada
[ad#block]Question: I am installing a new stove top that requires a 40 amp circuit which I have already existing at the installation point. The old stove ran four wires to 4 20 amp fuses. The new stove only has two hot wires a neutral and a ground. Can I bypass the glass fuses and wire directly to the wires protected by the 40 amp circuit breaker in my panel
