These are the typical wiring connections for ceiling fans….

I am replacing current ceiling fans with 3 speed with double switches in the wall. One for fan, One for light. The older fan is a variable Casablanca with a light kit.

Electrical Question : We presently have a ceiling fan that is operated by two wall switches, one for fan, the other for light. We have purchased a replacement fan w/light that has a receiver for fan canopy and remote wall switch that has a buttons for fan,includes 2 speeds, light with dimmer.

Question: I just installed a ceiling fan and it appears to be working OK. There were three wires in the ceiling box, white, black and red.

Question: Have only two wires out of ceiling . Ceiling fan and light have two black,one white,one green. What to do with hooking up.

Question: Why do I have 3 copper ground wires in my ceiling light fixture? I’m putting in a ceiling fan. Do I connect all 3 wires with the green fan ground wire?

Question: I want to install a Hunter ceiling fan with light. I have 14-3 wire in the existing box.
The wiring instructions say:
connect ground to ground

Installing ceiling fan on an existing switch. Had to install box and run 14/2 wire from ceiling fan and was running to switch. The light switch only controlled wall plug but was not direct power in. Had 2 wires, a black and white on switch so guessing it was on/off feed for plug only.

Question: My kids hit the ceiling fan in the bonus room with a ball. The lights went out in that room and other rooms upstairs. I get it back on by flipping the switch in the electric box.
