Installing a Ceiling Fan Where There is No Ground Wire
Mike, if a ground wire is not available then it is best to run a ground wire from another electrical circuit that has a ground wire.

I have installed several fans at different times.When I asked him to install one, I DONT KNOW HOW..I explained to him how to do it,of course…my word wasnt good enough..I found this website & called him in to watch the video!.Oh..guess you did know what you were talking about!.
