I was wondering.
I overheard my daughter talking to one of her friends about suicide, mentioning a toaster.
Now I have talked to her about it but I cant always be here, you know?
Can a toaster in the bathtub kill someone?
Would there need to be a specific cord or extension cord (its a short cord toaster)? specific outlet? specific toaster?
I am really out of my mind about this and cant find any help on google.

How to Prevent Electrocution and Electric Shock in the Home
- The First thing I would do is to make sure there are GFCI Ground Fault Protected outlets in the bathroom areas.
- Installing a GFCI Circuit breaker at the electric panel on any circuit will prevent electric shock hazards on the whole circuit and all the connected circuit devices as well.
- ANY electrical device that is not GFCI (ground fault protected) and placed into a tub of water while a person is in the tub can definitely produce a fatal electrocution.
- ALSO – A person inside a tub of water who comes into contact with anything that is energized and has live or exposed wiring or electrical parts could become electrocuted.
