Electrical Question from Brent about Troubleshooting
Background: Brent, a Homeowner from Trinidad and Tobago
Question: My Apex AT2402 television is not turning on and I all I am hearing is a beeping coming from it. I guess it is a power problem, but I am not sure…Can you help me?
Additional Comments: Great…It is not hard to understand like other websites. Good Job!
Thanks for your electrical question Brent. Troubleshooting television and electronics is something I hand over to the TV repair man. I used to work on some video sets, however my electronics focus now has to do with data and communications and that is limited to applications. Brent be careful because televisions have high voltage potential. I would advise calling a qualified TV repair technician. Make sure to plug your home electronic devices into surge suppressors to help protect them against damage. More detailed information can be found here in this website. The Safest Way to Test Electrical Devices and Identify Electric Wiring! The Non-Contact Electrical Tester
This is a testing tool that I have had in my personal electrical tool pouch for years, and is the first test tool I grab to help identify electrical wiring. It is a Non-contact tester, [amazon.com], I use for the detection of Standard Voltage in Cables, Cords, Circuit Breakers, Lighting Fixtures, Switches, Outlets and Wires. Simply insert the end of the tester into an outlet, lamp socket, or hold the end of the tester against the wire you wish to test. Very handy and easy to use.
