Dimmer Switch
Electrical Question: How do I wire a switch that has one black wire and one red wire going to same side of switch.
- The existing switch has one black wire and one red wire going to same side of switch.
- I want to install a dimmer switch in my kitchen. My electrical box has a switch with one black wire one red wire going to same side of switch. Two white wires are capped.
- This is the only switch that controls the one kitchen light. Not sure why there would be a red wire?
- This is not a 3 way switch. Can I just use the red as black? Do you think the white is a neutral with constant power?
Thank You.
