Electrical Question from LaPorte, IN about a Outdoor Light Fixture Problem
Received from LaPorte, IN
[ad#block]Question: My 120 volt, mercury dusk to dawn outdoor light continues to flip the breaker. I have tested the voltage of the wire and it is getting the proper voltage. I have changed the fuse and the light bulb, but it continues to flip the breaker.
Dave’s Reply:
Thanks for your electrical question.
I would inspect the fixture and the wiring. These fixtures produce heat which causes cracked insulation, bad connections and also attracts insects and nests that can lead to problems as well. All of these items can lead to potential electrical problems.
