Electrical Question from Pam about Outlet Wiring
Background: Pam, a Handywoman from Berwick, Pennsylvania
[ad#block]Question: If the screws for the terminals come all the way out, is the receptacle still good to use? Gold screw for hot wire came all the way off. Very tight going back on.
Additional Comments: Wonderful!
Dave’s Reply:
Thanks for your electrical question Pam. Don’t you just hate it when that happens! Sure – the receptacle is still usable, but that screw may be stripped out. I don’t know what those robots do during assembly to get those screws in like that, but it sure is interesting
