I was encouraged to enter the electrical trade by my father and I am grateful for it. Although my dream was and still is to be a pilot, I will always cherish the trade that was passed on to me from my father.
He was the greatest electrician I have ever known - stubborn, but great.

Thanks Dad, I will never forget the times we had together - lots of hard work and good fun too!

High School Major: 4 Years Vocational Center Training in Electrical Wiring and Building Construction, Agriculture Science, Farm Mechanics and Farm Electrification.
FFA - Future Farmers of America: The 4 Years of Vocational Education and Training were my favorite subjects in High School which was coupled with FFA, the Future Farmers of America organization. I had the privilege of participating in numerous competitive events with FFA and achieving top honors at the local and state level including: The California State Farmer Award - signed by Governor Ronald Reagan, Chapter President, State Delegate, Star Farmer, Champion Beef and much more, too many to mention here. I recommend any student to get involved with the Future Farmers of America or your local 4-H Club.
Many thanks to all my teachers including: Robert Crabtree, Dixie Mitchell, Richard Davis.

Favorite Activities
Short Term Mission Trips I have had the privilege to be involved in several Short Term Missions trips to other countries where I performed what I call Occupational Discipleship. I love learning about other people and cultures, and enjoy helping others in need.
Occupational Discipleship: Occupational Discipleship is simply Teaching and Performing my Electrical Trade and Abilities, and then sharing my Faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Strategic Local Missions: I also work directly with full term missionaries on priority projects. Helping in this capacity encourages others and makes a difference in the local community.
Ongoing Missions Involvement: I continue to participate with projects in domestic and remote locations as resources enable me to do so.
Philippines I have been on 6 Short Term Missions trips to the beautiful Islands of the Philippines where I have worked on construction and electrical projects in several locations on the main island of Luzon, and a solar energy project on the island of Palawan.
Mexico I have participated with two electrical related projects in Mexico and provided electrical materials towards the development of the local community.
Brazil Brazil is another country that my Son Matthew and I participated with where we had the opportunity to work with local community projects.
Space Camp My love for space and aviation has been nurtured with trips to the NASA Facility in Florida, but one of my best memories was when my Son Matthew and I spent several days at Space Camp where we were able to participate in Mock Space Shuttle Missions in a full size simulator, Wow - was that ever fun!
And of course, while we were there I checked out all the electrical wiring that it takes to make all the flight systems work. Wiring a house is a piece of cake compared to that - Cool Stuff, I Love It!
Habitat For Humanity I really enjoy participating with local building projects organized through Habitat For Humanity. I sincerely encourage you to consider taking part in a project in your local area. It's a lot of fun, you meet great people and the effort helps provide affordable housing for a deserving family.
