How AFCI Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters and Outlets are Wired
[ad#block]Electrical Question: I understand that bedroom power outlets/plugs are now being required to have an AFCI.
- Here in Edmonton, Alberta I believe that for every line coming from the circuit breaker box, it allows a maximum of 12 outlets/lights (combined).
- Right now, I am wiring my basement and it has only one bedroom with 4 power outlets and the rec/entertainment area with 7 power outlets, will it be possible that these power outlets be just in one AFCI in the circuit breaker box?

AFCI Circuit and Outlets
Greg, you can combine the outlets from these two rooms on the same AFCI circuit as long as the outlets will be general purpose where there will not be any large equipment loads plugged into the outlets.
