Thanks for your electrical question Charles. Based on the limited information you have provided, I would suggest that you call a qualified air conditioner service technician. Typical checks can be made for refrigerant levels, compressor amperage load, condensing fan and coil inspection, and of course the most obvious, to make sure your thermostat is functioning properly and that it is set on Cooling and not Heating!
