Thanks for your electrical question Sam. It really depends on the horsepower of the motor, and if it is single phase or three phase.Â A #6 Copper is the likely size depending on the type of insulation. If the air handler is mounted on a roof then you must apply the NEC code for sun exposure on conduits.
