Manufacturers Specifications for Sauna Heater Electrical Wiring
Question: I have a home sauna heater- (2.1 W, 120V) which has a plug with one straight blade, other angled blade and ground. Application at a home built in 1995. Is it feasible (safe) to simply wire a receptacle (NEMA 2-20p), or are there other restrictions regarding proper internal wiring sufficiency? There is a GFCI outlet, so is it even possible to change it to GFCI Nema 2-20p?

Steve, providing a GFI receptacle with the same configuration as the sauna plug should be the specification of the manufacturer. That receptacle should be installed where the circuit wiring capacity matches the required receptacle.
