Question: Is it permissible to run/install Romex electrical wire through stud bore hole’s (inside the wall) located above doors and windows?

Yes – just make sure the holes are drilled in the center of the studs and use safety plates where the wire may be vulnerable to nails or screw when applying the finished wall covering materials.
