I would like to run power out to my shed which sits about 150 feet back from house. I’m thinking direct bury UF from home panel box. I only need to power about three outlets and a couple lights. There wont be anything drawing a ton of power. What do I need? Is a sub panel necessary? Ground rod? What gauge wire, and how many conductors?

This electrical wiring question came from Bryan, a Homeowner in New York.

Dave’s Reply:
Thanks for your electrical wiring question Bryan.
