How to add a Second Ceiling Fan
Electrical Question Summary :
Can you connect two ceiling fans to electricity in line or on the same on/off switch? I have one fan now but I would like to add a second fan to a sun room. |
Is it ok to add a second ceiling fan |
Electrical Question: |
Yes - you should be able to add a second ceiling fan to the existing wall switch or circuit as long as the circuit has the capacity, most likely it does. Typical ceiling fans do not create a heavy electrical load. |
The wiring to the existing ceiling fan just needs to be extended to the location of the additional ceiling fan, all installed according to code of course. |
