Electrical Question from John about Electrical Wiring

[ad#block]Question: I have two outlets that do not work. When I test them with a volt meter I get the meter to light if I touch the black wire to the box but not when I touch it to the white wire. This is the case for both outlets – they are in different rooms but probably on the same circuit
