Quad Circuit Breakers Enable 2-240 Volt Circuits
Nelson, depending on the electrical circuit panel that you are referring to, there are quad circuit breakers that are available in the 240 volt 30 amp and 240 volt 50 amp combination. Quad circuit breakers are great when I need to add another 240 volt circuit because the quad circuit breaker provides for two 240 volt circuits in the same space where one 240 volt circuit was in the form of a full size 240 volt circuit breaker. The electrical panel must be designed to allow for these types of circuit breakers due to the added number of circuits that be limited.
Please note that I highly recommend that all electrical panel work be performed by a qualified licensed electrical contractor.
