  1. Mary says:

Question: US. Can I use a dedicated a/c outlet for a 5,000- 10,000 BTU unit at 120 volts in the winter for small microwaves, and other cooking things that normally use regular plugs.

  2. Dave Rongey says:

    Hi Mary,
A dedicated circuit may be used for any device that has the same voltage and amperage rating however please be careful that this will not turn into a hazardous situation due to the limitations of extension cords or using cooking equipment in areas that are not defined as a kitchen.

    Be Safe!
