I’m having a home remodel done. The electrician is telling me that it is NEC code now that GFCI outlets have to be installed in bedrooms?

- The electrician is telling me that it is NEC code now that GFCI outlets have to be installed in bedrooms?
- I know that’s true for “wet areas”, baths, kitchens etc. but bedrooms, it does not make sense.
- I understand it would be added protection but is it NEC code?

- However, the master bathroom in a bedroom does require GFCI protection.
