Wiring a Dimmer Switch For a Ceiling Fixture

[ad#block]Electrical Question: I replaced a ceiling fan and light with a ceiling light fixture. Now, I’d like to install a dimmer switch for the ceiling light.

There are two light switches in the box on the wall.
They controlled the fan and light.
It appears that the receptacles in the room are also run through these switches.
Is putting a dimmer switch possible?
How do I wire it?

How to Wire a Dimmer Switch For a Ceiling Fixture

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate.
Tools Required: Basic Electricians Pouch Hand Tools and Voltage Tester.
Materials: Dimmer Switch 600 Watt 120 volt, wire connectors.
Estimated Time: Depends on personal level experience and ability to work with tools.
Precaution: Identify the light circuit, turn it OFF and Tag it with a Note before working with the wiring for the dimmer.
