Electrical Question: How do I wire a three wire range cord when I there is a four wire receptacle on the wall?
- I just bought a used Whirlpool 465 electric range and it has a three wire pigtail cord installed and I have a four wire receptacle on the wall. I have the 4 wire pigtail cord.
- I know that the red wire attaches to the to other red wire and the black wire attaches to the other black wire, but should the white wire be on the neutral and ground to screw on frame, right?
