Replacing a Faulty Cable
I had this same thing happen to me. What I finally discovered is that the cable from the monitor to the computer was bad. As soon as I replaced it all the colors were back to normal. What a relief, because I thought that either my monitor was going bad or my video card was failing, neither was the case.
My original monitor cable was a bit short so this always made the cable to be stretched, and I’ll bet this is what caused one of the video wires to finally pull apart. I purchased a longer video cable, now it should not happen again.
