Electrical Question from Ronald about the separation of communications and power cables
[ad#block]Question: What is the required distance of communication conductors from conductors of any electric light or power circuit?
Additional Comments: Its educational and totally for improvement of electrical skills.
Thanks for your electrical question Ronald. Great Question. There should be a minimum of 12 inches separation between communications cables and power cables. Crossing at 90 degrees is ok when necessary. If the communications cable is not shielded then it would be best to be further away to avoid emf and noise disturbances.
