Question – Range Circuit Limitations
Electric range circuits have limitations for what they can be used for.
Kitchen Receptacle Outlet Circuits
Can I use an existing 10-3 wire from the range to wire a combination switch and receptacle?
[ad#block]If the range is still in use then No you cannot use this circuit.
Typically a lighting or receptacle circuit would be 15 or 20 amps 120 volt. Your range, being on the 10-3 is rated at 30 amps 220 volts.
Sounds like you may need to either find another circuit that can be used or have another circuit installed and sized depending on the load which you have in mind.
