Troubleshooting Ceiling Fan Electrical Wiring
[ad#block]Electrical Wiring: I have hooked up a New ceiling fan.
My wires are hot at the ceiling box. Fan will not turn on. I reversed the polarity, just in case, but nothing.
I hook up the fan to an extension cord, using the same wires I hooked up to the ceiling box and it works.
What’s going on?
Thank you

Ceiling Fan Wiring Connections
Arnoldo, you have proven that the ceiling fan is not the problem, so the problem must be with the wiring connections or a bad switch.
It would be good to test the power from the switch to the ceiling fan.
