Electrical Question from Mike about Multi-Speed Fan Wiring
Background: Mike, a Homeowner from Oak Park,Michigan
[ad#block]Question: I have a old 4 bladed steel Fan. It has 5 wires coming from the motor- 1 black,2 white,1 red,1 green.
I need to know how to connect the wires to the positive wire and negative wire of the wall plug cord so I can use this monster to cool off my house. I am using a electrical strip as a on/off switch. And I will use caps to cover the spliced wires. I had to bypass the switches-Hi,Med,Low.and clockwise/counterclockwise directional switches.
Additional Comments: Nice website
Thanks for your electrical question Mike.
I would have to know the exact make and model number of the fan to verify the wiring configuration for this fan.
