Hi Mark, Great Question!
Overlamping is the term used by some to describe when a light bulb is installed into a light socket that is larger then the specified size, or the rated size according to the UL Approval for the light socket or the light fixture. Overlamping can cause the light fixture to overheat and could very well become a dangerous fire hazard. Therefore, overlamping is not encouraged, and should be avoided.
I hope this helps you,
Dave
What is overlamping?
Hi Andries,
You may be referring to 3-way switches, otherwise it would be good to know more about the type of switches you are referring to. Some intermittent switches work with a control latching circuit which actives a lighting relay. Please take a look at the Control Relay pages found here, which may be helpful. If you could provide more information it would be very helpful.
Thanks!
Dave
Good day, I just want to know do you maybe have a diagram for 2way intermittent switching with 2 dimers?
