How to Identify and Repair Ceiling Fan Components
Electrical Question: Inside the light fixture there is a small square black box that has a white wire on one end and the other is a smaller wire (I am color blind so I don’t knew the other color wire).
- What is that box for? I replaced the single light socket.
- Now the fan will move but very slow.
- I can spin it with my hand but it will just go to slowing down.
- Why did the fan do that after replacing the light socket?
This electrical question came from: William, from McComb, Mississippi.
Additional Comments: I have never used this web sight before but by what I am seeing this is a sight that I will use again and tell others of it. Thank you for your time and help.
Thanks for your electrical question William.
