How Much Power an Electric Panel Has Left
How can I find out the amount of amperage available in my 200 amp Panel?
Electrical Panel Capacity
Electrical Question: How can I find out the amount of amperage available in my 200 amp Panel?
I am trying to find out the amount of amperage that is available in my 200 amp Panel if any. I can see from my electric bill that the heaviest usage month in 2019 was 21189KW and 2184 KWH. If 240 (volts) divided into the 21189KW would be 88 amps does that mean that I use 88 amps from the 80% of 200 = 160 amps total to safely use I would still have 72 amps available to use?

How to Calculate Electric Panel Capacity
Application: Adding more circuits to an electrical panel.
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced – Best performed by a Licensed Electrical Contractor, or Certified Electrician.
Electrical Tools Required: Basic Electricians Pouch Hand Tools, Voltage Tester, and appropriate Safety Gear.
Estimated Time: Depends on the personal level experience, ability to work with tools, install electrical circuit wiring, and the available access to the project area.
Electrical Safety: Identify the electrical power source to the , turn it OFF and Tag with a Note before working with the electrical wiring.
Electrical Wiring Parts and Materials: Electrical parts and materials for the should be approved for the specific project and compliant with local and national electrical codes.
Electrical Codes and Inspections: Installing or changing home electrical wiring should be done according to local and national electrical codes as adopted in your location. A permit and inspections may also be required.
