How to Know the Amperage of an Electric Panel

This electrical wiring project is about the amperage of a Panel in an Old Home.

Home Panel Amperage

Hi Joe, From what you have described, you can see the capacity of your electrical panel by looking at the main circuit breaker, which is typically the largest breaker in the panel, located at either the top, or to the left side, depending on your panel. Most all circuit breakers have the amperage stamped onto the switch handle of the circuit breaker. That number will be the amperage capacity of your electrical panel.
