Wiring a Hot Tub GFCI Circuit Breaker

Application: Wiring a Hot Tub GFCI Circuit.
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced.
Tools Required: Basic Electricians Pouch Hand Tools, Voltage Tester.
Estimated Time: Depends on personal level experience, ability to work with tools and install the hot tub wiring.
Notice: Installing hot tub circuit wiring should be done according to local and national electrical codes with a permit and be inspected.

IMPORTANT: Wiring a GFCI Circuit Breaker for a Hot Tub is not the same as wiring a regular circuit breaker.

    Hi Carlton,
    Yes – A Hot Tub or any type of Sauna, Whirlpool Tub, Pool, or any such equipment that involves water, electricity, people or livestock, is required to have a GFCI protected circuit. Additionally, the installation of the electrical circuit and all associated components must be installed according to applicable codes, with a permit, and inspected, as required by your local building jurisdiction.
