How Do I Fix A Ceiling Fixture Box
Background: Lisa, a Homeowner from Chicago, IL
[ad#block]Question: I am replacing a light fixture in the hallway and one in the laundry room and have come across the same problem with both. The previous lights I took down must have been to heavy for the circular box in the ceiling and now the plaster has broken away and the box is low on one side. There are 2 small screw holes on either side of the circle on a lip that possibly could be screwed into something for support? I don’t want to take the chance of screwing into wire. What else can I do to make this box strong?
