Gable Vent Fan Electrical Wiring
Background: Bob, a Homeowner from TN, USA
[ad#block]Question: Good day,
I’m planning to install a gable vent attic fan. I’ve already ran Romex 12/3 cable from fan location to existing receptacle in attic. Would it be possible to just wire a three prong plug to the Romex cable and plug into outlet (if so, what type of plug), or does the Romex need to be hardwired to receptacle? In advance, thank you for your help and assistance. I appreciate it.
Additional Comments: Excellent!

Thanks for your electrical question Bob. A standard Male Cord Cap can be purchased from the local hardware store and installed.
