Electrical Repairs for Two Tripping GFCI
[ad#block]Electrical Question: I installed a sub panel{100 amp. panel} off a 200 amp panel, ran 3 wires from main panel, at sub panel I installed 2 grounding rods and installed separate ground bar. what would cause the GFCI to trip in 2 different locations when i turn off ceiling fans on different circuits? something that is common on all circuits is the ground. What is this telling me? Thank you.

Checklist for electrical troubleshooting GFCI Problems
- Make sure the GFCI’s are not inter wired where one GFCI is wired to provide protection for a second GFCI.
- Check the circuit wiring to make sure there are not two separate circuit feeders instead of one for a single circuit.
- Check all of the wiring connections at the ceiling fan.
- Make sure the ground rods are bonded together.
