Electrical Question about: GFCI Wiring
Received from Hank a Homeowner in Buhl, Idaho
[ad#block]Question: I am about to finish building a 32′ x 48′ garage/shop and nearly ready to start the electrical wiring. I have been told that there are differences, according to the NEC, between wiring a garage or a shop. Possibly?? at least one GFCI protected circuit in a garage for a ref. or freezer? I don’t plan to have either, nor a washer or dryer. This will be used as a normal garage to house regularly used vehicles, also to pull farm machinery in for minor welding and mechanical repairs. And some small woodworking projects.
Will this be a garage or shop and what are the differences in wiring (if any) according to the NEC?
