[ad#block]Question: I have an outlet that has black/white wire going in and then black/white wire leaving to another light or outlet. I want to take this outlet out, and install a switch in it’s place to power a new light fixture but at the same time I still need the power to be going through to the next light or outlet. How would I wire this up?

Hi Brad – A new wire will be needed for switching the additional light fixture. This may be accomplished by adding a new Romex or individual wire depending on your type of existing wiring or conduit.
