Electrical Power Source for Basement Outlets
Background: Matt, a Homeowner from Ypsilanti, Michigan.
[ad#block]Question: I am installing 3 new outlets in my basement. There is no extra breaker spot available in my box. Can I splice into an existing GFI line that runs to my garage and has nothing pulling power from it?
Dave’s Reply:
Thanks for your electrical question Matt. Yes this can be done, however you may be able to install a tandem or twin circuit breaker in place of a full size circuit breaker, depending on the brand of your electrical panel.
