Electrical Circuit Wiring and Receptacle for a Wine Cooler
- The circuit requirement for a wine cooler will depend on the size of the cooler and the amount of watts or amps that are needed.
- If the wine cooler was included when wiring a new home then a separate circuit would be best.
- An available electrical circuit that feeds outlets in the general area can be identified and tested to see how much load is currently being used for that circuit, and if the circuit has enough available capacity for the wine cooler.
- Generally the smaller under counter wine coolers are able to added to the electrical wiring of an existing circuit without a problem, depending on the number of devices that will be sharing the same electrical circuit.
Electric Circuit Listing
The size of the home electrical service panel is designed by calculating the square footage of the home and factoring in the code requirements for the electrical circuits that are required.
