Why An Electric Water Heater Circuit Is Tripping

[ad#block]Question: I have a brand new GE Hot Water Heater that keeps tripping the the breaker.
This only started after an in line water filter was added.
Could there be any correlation?

Yes – (although I have not been provided all the details of the circuit or the device), if the water heater worked fine before and the inline filter was added to the circuit, they yes, that is most likely is the problem.
Water Heater Circuit Requirements
Conventional water heaters normally require a dedicated circuit of 30 amps 240 volts. The water heater circuit may not be shared with any other equipment due to the large amount of wattage that is required for the internal heating elements.
