- Each home electrical project requires various levels of comprehensive skills which you may or may not be individually qualified to perform, or may or may not be permitted to do depending on the area where you live.
- Doing the necessary research to understand what is involved is a good starting point, then contacting your local building department and filing for a permit is the next step.
- Ask questions to the building official about what is allowed and expected to complete the project. This alone will help to understand what is involved.
- Carefully inspect all the steps that are involved to accomplish your electrical project. Understand the necessary tools that are needed to install the various materials.
- By now you will have enough information to help you make a decision. The decision and the responsibilities that go along with it are totally yours.
